Trained Or Untrained?

With Breezy Hollow, you have the option of selecting either untrained or trained mini Goldendoodles for sale. Trained puppies are, as one might expect, more expensive, but it can be much easier to introduce a trained puppy into your family than an untrained puppy.

Our trained puppies will be well-socialized, potty-trained, crate-trained and leash-trained as well as comfortable riding in a car. Additionally, we provide stair training and extensive socialization with adults, children and other dogs in a variety of situations. We also teach basic commands such as sit, stay, lay down, leave it, come here and off.

Keep in mind, that our untrained puppies will be somewhat socialized and up-to-date on shots, dewormed and checked by a veterinarian for any health issues. However, their new family will be responsible for potty training, leash training and obedience training, etc. In either case, you will enjoy a healthy, happy puppy with a good temperament, but having a trained puppy can be a huge convenience.

How To Welcome Your New Puppy

While Goldendoodles are known for their friendly disposition and our puppies are well-socialized, there’s no getting around the fact that your puppy might be a bit timid at first in their new environment.

Before your new puppy arrives, we recommend creating a safe, puppy-proof home. Remove any hazardous items and secure any loose wires and remove any small objects that a puppy might be able to chew or swallow. We also recommend purchasing a comfortable bed, a dog crate, food bowls and perhaps a soft toy or two. Let them explore and sniff around, but perhaps install a few baby gates to keep them fairly restricted at first.

As for food, we feed all of our dogs Great Lakes grain-free dog food and we recommend continuing this food brand for several weeks after your puppy’s arrival or, even better, permanently. Providing a calm environment can be good during their first weeks in your home. While you might be tempted to invite many people over to meet this wonderful new addition, too many strangers can be intimidating for a new puppy. We recommend providing them with quiet and calm and plenty of patience as love as they get situated.
